The Script are returning to London's O2 Arena this November, bringing their biggest UK and Ireland tour in years to a close with a headline show on Saturday, November 21, 2026.

The London show is the final date of a 15-stop UK and Ireland arena tour. It follows a major year for the Irish band, marked by a new album, high-profile stadium support slots, and the start of a new chapter after one of the most emotional periods in their history.

Joining them on the night is James Morrison, making this one of the strongest arena double bills of the year for anyone who grew up on heartfelt pop-rock anthems during the 2000s and 2010s.

Why this tour feels different for The Script

To understand why this tour matters, it helps to understand where the band has been over the last few years.

The Script's 2024 album ‘Satellites’ arrived following the death of guitarist and founding member Mark Sheehan in April 2023. The album and accompanying tour became a way for frontman Danny O'Donoghue and drummer Glen Power to honour their friend while continuing the band's story.

Many of those shows carried an understandably emotional atmosphere, with tributes to Sheehan woven throughout the performances.

‘The User's Guide To Being Human’ marks the next chapter.

Rather than focusing entirely on loss, the new album looks forward. It explores resilience, growth, self-reflection and rediscovering joy, while still acknowledging everything that came before it.

For longtime fans, that shift gives this tour a different emotional tone. It feels less like a farewell to the past and more like the beginning of something new.

The new album: The User's Guide To Being Human

The Script's latest album arrives on August 14, 2026 via Atlantic Records. The project reunites Danny O'Donoghue with several of the songwriters who helped create the band's biggest hits, including Andrew Frampton, Steve Kipner and Jimbo Barry.

Together, they contributed to some of The Script's most successful songs, including:

  • Hall of Fame
  • Breakeven
  • The Man Who Can't Be Moved
  • Superheroes
  • The Last Time

The reunion is significant because it represents a return to the songwriting partnerships that helped define The Script's sound during their most successful years.

According to O'Donoghue, much of the album was written shortly after the Satellites tour ended, with sessions taking place in Topanga Canyon, California.

The lead single, ‘Man In The Arena’, introduces the album with a bigger and more uplifting sound, combining soaring choruses, driving percussion and themes of perseverance.

Why The Script remain one of the UK's biggest arena bands

The Script have spent nearly two decades building one of the most consistent catalogues in modern pop-rock. Since forming in Dublin, they have accumulated:

  • Six UK number-one albums
  • Eight Irish number-one albums
  • More than 14 billion global streams
  • Over five million album sales
  • More than 4.5 million concert tickets sold worldwide

However, the band's appeal goes beyond commercial success. Songs such as ‘Breakeven', ‘The Man Who Can't Be Moved’, ‘For The First Time’, ‘Nothing’, ‘Hall of Fame’ and ‘Superheroes’ remain popular because they focus on themes almost everyone relates to: heartbreak, hope, resilience, regret, ambition and personal growth.

That emotional connection is a major reason why audiences continue showing up years after those songs first appeared.

The supporting act by James Morrison

The British singer-songwriter has built his own hugely successful career through emotionally driven songs including ‘You Give Me Something’, ‘Wonderful World’ and ‘Broken Strings’.

His songwriting style complements The Script remarkably well, making him one of the strongest support bookings on the arena circuit this year.

What to expect from the live show

While the production will undoubtedly be arena-sized, the focus remains on songs, storytelling and audience participation. You can expect:

  • Massive singalongs throughout the night
  • Strong visual production supporting the new album
  • Emotional moments reflecting on the band's recent journey
  • A mix of older hits and newer material
  • An atmosphere built around shared nostalgia and celebration

Their previous London O2 show during the Satellites tour attracted more than 17,000 fans, and demand for this tour is expected to be similarly strong.
